After creating ripples with her bikini act in the forthcoming film, Help, Mugdha Godse is now set to prove that she is one hardworking Bollywood actress. The former model and Miss India runner-up, who turns 25 today (July 26), is shooting in Thailand for Will You Marry Me?, a romantic comedy where she is paired opposite Rajeev Khandelwal.
Mugdha Godse Sedate Styling, Fine Legs at Help Music Launch
July 21, 2010, (Sawf News) - Mugdha Godse rocked a bold and bright Niska Lulla mini halter dress at the music launch of her horror film Help at Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai on June 20.
Her sedate styling must have earned an approving nod and smile from her mother who was reportedly upset by her recently released bikinilicious stills from the film.
Mugdha Godse's latest flick Help deals with the supernatural. But it may not have been happenstance that the model turned actress picked this film, which also stars Bobby Deol.
Mugdha believes in ghosts and she loves horror movies!
'Help' will bring out the actress in me: Mugdha Godse
Mugdha Godse is psyched about her upcoming film Help where she plays a woman possessed by a demon and the former model says that the role will establish her credentials as an actress.
Mugdha, who debuted in Bollywood with Madhur Bhandarkar's hit Fashion, said that the audience will see "many Mughdas" in the film.
Mugdha Godse rocks wet white bikini in 'Help.' It is too sexy!
Finally we got to see the much hyped about bikini shots of Mugdha Godse in her new horror flick Help with co-star Bobby Deol and we haven't stopped drooling.
She looks hot and that may well be an underwear statement!
Mugdha, 24, a model turned actor started her career with Madhur Bhandarkar's Fashion and followed up with roles in All The Best and Jail.
As she has been a part of the modelling and ramp show world, getting into a two-piece for Help was no big deal for Mugdha Godse. The actress has done some bare-dare scenes for the horror thriller that has Bobby Deol as her co-star.
Incidentally, in her debut film Fashion, she featured in one scene walking the ramp in a two-piece, but there, her lower half was covered in a wrap-around.
‘Will You Marry Me?’ is an upcoming romantic comedy starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Shreyas Talpade, Celina Jaitley, and Mugdha Godse in the lead roles. The storyline of the movie is based on three friends who love their bachelorhood so much they place a bet among themselves that whoever decides to marry first will lose a huge amount in shares that were contributed by all three.
Honestly, one finds it hard to believe that even Mugdha Godse is constantly on the move. But that is what it seems like.
With the IPL season hosting midnight fashion shows, this Marathi mulgi with a wow figure finds herself booked for ramp walks in the middle of the night. Fortunately, like Cinderella Mugdha doesn’t have to worry when the clock strikes 12, so she got seetis galore when she was the showstopper for designer Mandira Wirk. There were a few players at the fashion show who thought Mugdha is truly happening. Guess this season there is no escaping the cricketers for this Bollywood hottie.
Two women stole the show at the races on Sunday. Chief guest Mugdha Godse, in her tight-fitting mini dress and Celina Wadia, in her cool summer gown and with a ravishing smile and two adorable children.
Of course, the racing fever was in the air, but there was more excitement and glamour this time around for Maureen Wadia also presented a mega-model contest. While the horses and their jockeys took long strides on the racetrack, a bevy of aspiring models took delicate steps and paraded around the man-made ramp.
he eyes of the fashion world have already been pleasantly impressed by the innovation and leading edge presentation at the first day of the Bangalore Fashion Week. Swapnil Shinde's magnificently avant-garde gothic collection made the audience perch on the edge of their seats and when Mugdha Godse appeared in a clinging full-length velvet and lace dress with silk lace sleeves, they nearly fell off. Swapnil says he enjoyed playing with the gothic influences, "But at the same time I had to make sure that it was wearable, and it wasn't too over the edge and extremely crazy.
Mugdha recently attended the Pune International Film Festival, which proved very nostalgic for her as she'd spent a fair bit of her childhood there. She was able to recreate some of the walks she'd taken with her father. "Mugdha enjoys taking walks with her father but this time it was a bit different as now she has become a public figure and people started gathering around them so the walk couldn't last for long," said a friend.
After playing a glamorous model in her debut film Fashion, Mugdha Godse will now be seen in a completely de-glam avatar in Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail.
Unlike Fashion, Godse's playing the lead role in Jail. She says of Madhur, "I am happy that he trusts me to play two diametrically different roles. Madhur has given me the courage and confidence to experiment with different roles."
She recalls an incident, "On the first-day shoot of Jail, I came for my shot with make-up on, and Madhur asked me to go wash my face and get the make-up off. He wanted a completely natural look. I finally ended up only with kajal and mascara."
Mugdha has been styled by her personal stylist Deepti Mhatre who styled her in Fashion as well. She adds, "I started off with her and she gave me all my outfits for Jail. They're plain, simple and yet elegant."
Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail tells of prison life. Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the main protagonist and Mugdha, his love interest. The movie is due to release on November 6.
Models turning actresses is not new to Bollywood. One such is a Marathi mulgi, who has carved a niche for herself on the silver screen after
scorching the ramp, is Mugdha Godse. In Goa to shoot for Mohit Suri’s All The Best, Mugdha shared her thoughts about the two films she is doing at present.
“Both are completely different films and I have completely different look as well,” remarked Mugdha. “This is a freaky comedy, while Jail is an intense film. After Fashion, I know Madhur’s working style, but this set-up is completely new and typically commercial.”
She admitted that it was different and a little difficult initially. “Fashion was comparatively easy because I could relate to the situations, psychologically having spent five years on the ramp. Now, it is a different ball game. This is new ... the schedules, the chaos, the on-set ambience ... everything is new to me. But, no complaints. I love the chaos and am getting used to the erratic schedules.”
You will notice that in the 'Dil Kare' song in All the Best, everyone wears shades - Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Bipasha Basu, Ajay Devgan - everyone that is except for Mugdha Godse. "I thought I'd flaunt my beautiful eyes so I did not wear any glares," she says.
Still relatively new to the industry, Mugdha has been talking about how apprehensive she was when reaching the set for her new movie. "Sanjay is a big guy. And I was quite apprehensive in the beginning ... almost frightened," she confesses, "But he just strolled over to me on my first day and said 'hello'. He made an effort to communicate and make me comfortable. After that, it has been a joy ride on the sets."
Mugdha's other film on the starting blocks is Madhur Bhandarkur's Jail which has had it's release date put back due to some production issues. "I apologize....some post production issues = JAIL can not make it on Oct 23rd," Madhur tweeted recently, "The date now is NOV 6th."
Mumbai: Mugdha Godse visited Siddhivinayak Temple in Prabhadevi recenlty. The actress along with some other stars was there to offer prayer to Lord Ganesh.A report said that Godse is in a prominant role in Ajay Devgn Films' upcoming film All The Best – Fun Begins.
Godse, who worked in Fashion and Jail has several hopes from Fun upcoming movie All The Best – Fun Begins.Starring Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgun, Fardeen Khan and Bipasa Basu, the movie will be a good entertainer for the audience.
May Fun Begins comes with a lot of success to Godse.

Coming from a humble background Mugdha says the feeling that people are appreciating my work is still sinking in. “It’s a different high when people see you and call out to you on the streets. Suddenly you are an icon and people want to reach out to you. When I went to the IIFA awards there were young boys and girls shouting my name. I was stunned I never knew the power of cinema. But it has definitely boosted me to perform better now. I studied in a Marathi medium school and I took up modeling just for the fun of it. Before that I had taken up part time jobs. My parents have still not got over the fact that I am into movies. But after Fashion they are confident and happy about my career” she says.
Macau (PTI): Mugdha Godse may have started her Bollywood career with a small role in 'Fashion' but the ambitious beauty hopes to strike gold with her first lead role in Madhur Bhandarkar's gritty drama 'Jail'.
The model turned actress who went from fashionista to girl next door for her role in the upcoming film, said that her short role in the debut film earned her plenty of audience appreciation and she hopes to ride on her popularity with her second film. "Fashion has already been a turning point in my career and my journey has just started in the industry. Sky is the limit for me now," Mugdha told PTI in an interview.
The actress who is paired opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh in the film said that the role was very close to her heart. "It is a whole new experience. People have this thought that being a model I have to be ultra glam but I think Madhur is going to change that," said the actress. The former model says that becoming an actress was the best thing that happened to her as it gives her a channel to reach out to people. "I feel I have finally found a mode to express myself and reach out to people. That is the best part of being an actor and I love every aspect of it," she added.

Macau: Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar promises another gritty, hard-hitting story with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse starrer 'Jail', as the first look of the film was unveiled in Macau on Friday.
The film is the story of an ordinary man, Parag Dixit (Niel), who lands up in prison due to a series of unfortunate events around him. The story progresses as Parag's life intertwines with the rest of the inmates. "It was very difficult for me to move from a big budget glamorous film like 'Fashion' to a small budget movie. The film takes you on a journey inside the jails of India," Bhandarkar said at a press conference.
The filmmaker who has won three National awards for his films 'Chandni Bar', 'Page-3' and 'Traffic Signal', is attending the IIFA awards along with the lead pair to promote the film. "I had to go through a lot of mental preparation for the character as I am still new and have not learned the art of switching on and off," said Niel adding that he considered himself lucky to be getting intense roles in the beginning of his career. textual source: Indian Express
Mugdha Godse is on the lookout for a new car
Mumbai- Tied up with her film shoots, Mugdha Godse has had no time to look around and decide on a new pair of wheels. The Fashion actress had met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on May 5 that left her car in a mess.
Well-informed:
As Mugdha is on a tight schedule shooting for a long schedule of Rohit Shetty's All The Best (in Goa) and Madhur Bhandarkar's Jail (in Mumbai), she spends time between shots leafing through auto magazines. This apart, several of her close pals are advising her on the best deals.
Mugdha was in Mumbai for the last couple of days, shooting for Jail. To make the most of it, she made a list of potential buys and called up the selected car company folk to arrive at her various shoot locations for test drives!
She says, "There is no way out. I am helpless without a car and have to be dependent on friends and unit cars to take me around. Every day, a different vehicle would arrive on the sets and unit folk would wonder what I was up to!"
Scrap it!:
As the model-turned-actress is superstitious, she does not want to repair her damaged car. "I have been told that it will take at least two to three months to get it done. I'd rather scrap it. Once a car has received a jolt, then some problem or the other keeps on happening to it. Moreover, it had also caused me a neck injury. So I would rather scrap it."
Clued in now:
Mugdha admits that she was not so clued in to cars. "I have already checked out seven models and will soon be making up my mind on what to settle for; it's mostly a SUV. I keep on buying auto mags to check out what the latest and the best buys are. In the last few weeks, I have been clued in about the vehicles and also their technical stuff. I have become a self-learnt car enthusiast now!" source: Mid-Day
After walking for Satya Paul in Delhi and Narendra Kumar Ahmed in Mumbai, Mugdha took to the runway again for designer duo Gauri-Nainika at the Kolkata Fashion Week.

After her fashionable stint in Fashion , model-turned-actor Mugdha Godse is all set to go de-glam for her role in the forthcoming
We’re told, “Mugdha will be seen sporting salwar kameezes in the film as she plays a woman who supports her lover (Neil Nitin Mukesh) through thick and thin.” There’s more; Mugdha has gone sans makeup for this one. Now, that’s a bold second film, and Mugdha hopes to catch the attention of a whole lot of filmmakers after this flick. That’s the reason we call Jail, Mugdha’s ‘prison break’.
She is someone who just cannot be mistaken to be a human being, for she is an angel in disguise...call it as God's gift to good guys! She is Mugdha Godse, who is on her way to become the Goddess of not just small things but also big, bigger, biggest things!
And one such big thing to have happened to the mankind is the current issue (which is ironically quite 'electrifying') of the super cool tech and gizmo mag 'Stuff'. We will be doing rank injustice if we started telling (read 'praising') about Mugdha's gizmo-ic looks that really acts as an eye-candy for everyone alike. For once, we are damn sure that, you will regret that why weren't you born as a laptop or any other gizmo, for the only reason, that after having a look at the gizmo's proximity to Mugdha...you know the rest!
Anyways, keeping the best for the last, all that we would say is that do not let your life be incomplete without the current issue of Stuff! It's not everyday that you have a living Goddess like Mugdha God-se posing as human being!

After the glamorous fashion industry it’s the dark side of the prison that has inspired Madhur Bhandarkar to make a film. The film named “Jail” will include Neil Nitin Mukesh and Mugdha Godse in the lead.
Jail will be a tale of an ordinary man, Parag Dixit, who finds himself inside the four walls of a prison followed by a series of unfortunate events.
On his film Madhur said, “I’ve been mulling the subject right from the time I made Chandni Bar. I don’t think a prison story like Jail has been done so far in Hindi. I always want to go into genres that are new for me and for the audience.” The film will be produced jointly by Bhandarkar and Percept Pictures.
What made Mugdha sign the film? Well, here’s what she says, “I am like an Eklavya - very focused as a human being. I am extremely passionate about my roles and select on movies only on the basis of the director, who is like a captain of a ship"
